The Time War

This is a novel I began writing in the fall of 1981. I have tried repeatedly to get someone to take some interest in it, but I am clearly not a great novelist and this is clearly not a popular story. So, I have decided to go over it again, chapter by chapter, and simply post it online here. As I do so, I am changing the order of some of the chapters (again). I put all of the names here in the curent order (omitting some where I think they need to be moved).

If you know me and you think that one of these names is suspiciously close to your name, there is a very good reason. After a few years of writing, I would forget who was who. So, I matched the personality of the character with a person I knew. Then, remembering names was much easier. With the exception of very few people, the characters have nothing to do with real people.

I have only placed the first chapter online so far. This is the most important chapter in the entire novel. If it doesn't make you want to read more, it is a failure.
